Welcome to Lutheran South!

Lutheran High South is pleased to announce the presentations of A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare on Friday March 26 (7pm) and Saturday March 27 (7pm). This play is an adaptation by Ken Womble and directed by Sarah Witte. Tickets to these performances will be $5 at the door.

If you are connected with a local congregation we would be most thankful if you would help us in spreading this news around the community. A flyer in format can be downloaded here. Please help us in sharing this if you can!

As a reminder the Little Caesar's Pizza Kit Sale ends Monday, March 15th. All order forms and money must be turned into the office by the end of the school day.

Delivery will be on Monday, March 22nd between 10:30 and 11:30 am. We will need volunteers to help unload the truck an pack orders at this time. If you are able to assist, please contact the school office.

Thank you for all your help in making our Soup/Chili Cook-Off a HUGE success! Thank you for bringing soup, chili and other items in support of the cook-off. Thank you for coming and eating the soup, chili and other items as well! The event was a success with over 170 people in attendance and over $850 raised. This coming week (March 8-12) is Lutheran Schools Week. Join us in giving thanks to God this week for the gift of Lutheran Schools and the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Due to the MME for Juniors, field trips, and special Lutheran Schools Week events, there is a special schedule for next week. Please pay careful attention to the details below:

Monday, March 8th
First Hour Chapel with Mr. Garrabrant
Normal Schedule for Periods 2-8
3:10 Dismissal

Tuesday, March 9th
NO SCHOOL for Sophomores and Seniors
ACT for Juniors from 7:55 - 11:17 (Juniors will be dismissed after the ACT)
CUAA Handbell Trip for Freshmen 8:45 - 2:30
   *Please arrive at school by 8:45 am
   *Please arrange for pick up by 2:30 pm

Wednesday, March 10th
No Chapel
Freshmen and Sophomores will have a normal schedule (7:55 - 3:10)
Juniors will take the MME from 7:55 - 11:17 am and their regular schedule the remainder of the day
Seniors will come for 5th through 8th Periods (11:21 - 3:10)

Thursday, March 11th
Freshmen and Sophomores will have a normal schedule for 1st through 5th periods
Juniors will take the MME from 7:55 - 11:17 am and then proceed to their 5th Hour
Seniors will come in for 5th Hour at 11:17 am
School Wide Volleyball Tournament from 12:30 - 2:30 pm
ALL STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED AT 2:30 PM

Friday, March 12th
NOON DISMISSAL - ALL STUDENTS

Thursday, February 25th Boy's Varsity plays against Trillium Academy at 7:00pm. We will honor our three senior boys at tonight's game. (The girl's game that was for tonight has been rescheduled to Saturday!)

Friday, February 26th The Girl's Basketball teams will take on Flat Rock High School at 5:30 and 7:00 pm. These games are rescheduled from the Snow Day on Monday. We will honor our three senior girl basketball players at this game.

Saturday, February 27th The Girls Varsity Basketball team will play Trillium Academy at 5:00 pm.

A sign-up sheet has been posted in the gym. Please do what you can to help out. Many hands make for light work!

The following donations are needed from LHS Families: Juniors and Seniors: 1 Diet Beverage (2-liter) and 1 Dessert. Sophomores and Freshmen: 1 Regular Beverage (2-liter) and 1 Dessert

*Minimum quantity one dozen on the desserts

Desserts should be finger type foods, cookies, cookie bars, no-bakes, brownies, cupcakes, etc.

Dessert and beverage items should be brought to LHS no earlier than March 5th, but no later than 12:00 on March 7th

Flyers and order forms were sent home on Thursday, February 11th. Order forms are due Monday, March 15th. Orders will be delivered Monday, March 22nd. Payment must be made at the time order is taken. The girl's basketball games against Flat Rock have been rescheduled for Friday, February 26th. Junior Varsity will play at 5:30pm and Varsity will play at 7:00pm.
